Zara's Baby Day

It was a really fun day.  Mama wrapped around me a Moby Wrap.  Also, this girl baby had just been born.  But it wasn't real.  It was a toy.  The baby had a cute little bow on it.  Can you see the cute little bow on the picture?  Do you see my lovely hair too?

There was one problem.  The problem was the baby's milk bottle wasn't working.  That is because it didn't show the milk.  I pretended that the milk was in there.  And I gave it to the baby.

I had three babies today.  They were born today.  Now that I've talked about the baby girl, there are two boys that were born today too.  The girl baby was named Summer.  The boy babies were named Candy and Bubba.

The babies sleep in a box.  That is their bed.  They have a polka dot purple pillow.  The babies have a blue blanket.  I'm going to go ahead and play with my babies right now.

Zara's Great Day

I had a great day with Barcley.  I had a great day with brothers.  I had a great day having fun.  Even in the bubbles just like this picture you see.  I loved the long trip when we were going home in the car.

There was a tub with bubbles coming in just a minute.  They were stopping and going.  I got in the tub with my bathing suit on.  You could see the bubbles going all around my face.  I looked like I was sinking, but I wasn't.  Brothers were in there with me too.  They had their bathing suits on, but their bathing suits looked like shorts.

On Zara's great day I picked up my stick and put a marshmallow on it.  I put it in the fire and then I picked it up and took the marshmallow off and ate it.

Questions

I asked Mama a question tonight when she was reading a Bible story.  I wanted to know why Jesus said God when He was talking to other people.  Mama didn't understand me at first, but finally she understood that I wanted to know why Jesus said God instead of "I".  She explained to me a little about God the Father, God the Son Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit.  Then I got it.

A couple weeks ago I got out of bed at night to ask Mama a question.  I like to think when I'm going to sleep.  I wanted to know who made God.  Mama told me that no one made God and that God was always here.  That didn't make sense so I asked the same question a couple of times.  I didn't get it, but Mama said it was something that we can't really understand very well.

32 Months Old

I am 32 months old now.  I am a big girl now.  At least that is what my Mama says.  But sometimes I like to pretend to be a baby.  I found a pippy a few weeks ago and decided it would be the perfect toy for pretending to be a baby.  I even did fake cries.  I still really like dogs.  I laugh and think of how they like to spit on my face.  I can say my full name now.  I like to joke around with people too.  Last night I ran around and made a scary face to Mama and then I went to Daddy and made a scary face.  I think laughing is fun.  I do know how to scream too.  When my brother is bothering me I SCREAM.  They think I am so cute that they keep wanting to give me hugs and kisses, but I need some space.  I love my brothers and I have lots of fun with them.  Elijah likes to teach me about space.  I already know about planets.  Luke likes to run around and be silly with me.

It is almost Christmas.  I don't know for sure when it will be, but I know I'm not supposed to open the presents under the tree yet.  I thought it was time when my brother opened the present from our landlord.  I went over to the tree and unwrapped one of Mama's presents.  I found out that it wasn't Christmas yet.  Soon I think.  I did get to decorate Christmas cookies.  I decorated a few, but didn't let any of the mini m&ms past my mouth.  I like the snow.  I found a box of tissues downstairs while my brothers were in school and decided that the tissues made perfect snow.   I spread the tissues all around the room and threw them up in the air to show the snow was falling.  It was fun.

I like looking at books a lot.  I'll even pretend to read them.  I like the alphabet too.  I like to dance with my Leapfrog magnetic letter set while I learn what sounds the letters make.  Mama says I probably say more than 3000 different words now.  I don't know how much that is, but I can count to ten.  I like to count.  But once I get to ten I go back to seven.

I like to watch In the Night Garden and play with my Upsy Daisy and Iggle Piggle toys.  They make me laugh.  I especially like the part where Pinky Ponk gets stuck in the tree.  Yesterday when I was playing outside I pretended I was stuck in the tree like Pinky Ponk.  I also like to watch Baby Babble and make the funny sounds on there.

I don't sit in a high chair anymore.  When my brothers started school I graduated to a booster seat.  I like it because I can get down as soon as I am finished.  I have a new bed too.  When we moved to the new house I started sleeping in a big bed.  It is so big my brothers could sleep there too, but they have bunkbeds.

I love dancing with Daddy.  I can twist and jump around.  It is so fun dancing with Daddy.  My favorite food is apples, but I'll admit my favorite dessert is chocolate.  I like it when Mama gives me chocolate chips for dessert.

I don't nap anymore.  I like to be awake all day.  Mama decided that it was best too after I kept staying awake until midnight after I had had a nap.  Every now and then I get a little extra tired and have a catnap in the middle of the day though.

I like to play Wii Active Outdoor Challenge too.  The jumping game is very fun.  Want to join me?

26 months old

So much has happened since I last wrote here.  I had my second birthday and had a dog birthday cake.  I like dogs.  I also like to sing the Happy Birthday Cake song.  I play with my toy food and dishes, my animals, read books, play with brother's cars, and I like to dress up.  I like to ride around the house on my little toy car too.  Mama says I talk alot now.  I speak in 5-6 word sentences often and am saying new words all the time.  I do have a new love though - sign language.  I love to watch Signing Time and I use signs all the time to talk to my family.  I think I have seen almost every Signing Time DVD now.  I love learning new things.  But my absolute favorite Signing Time video is the ABC one.  I love learning ABCs.  Mama has some magnetic ABCs on the fridge for me that play a little song when I put them in a player.  I like the K letter.  When I put it in the holder I practice the K sound while doing kicks.  I keep asking for more letters to learn about, but it is always the same group of letters over and over again.  Baseball is another passion of mine.  I love putting the baseball on the tee and hitting it.  Before Daddy brought my tee and bat into the house I would hit lots of things around the house with a wooden toy flute.  I like to read books on the couch too.  I like to sit down and turn the pages and say what I see and sometimes it is fun to have someone read the stories to me.  But mostly I like to just find out what is on the pages.  Elijah likes to sit down with me and teach me about space.  I like the moon.  That is all for now...I have to take my nap.  I still take one nap a day in the backpack.

18 months old

I am 18 months old now. On my half birthday I had a yummy cake with chocolate frosting. It is fun to grow up. Right now I really like watching Winnie the Pooh. When I wake up in the morning I ask to watch it. I can even sing the up down song from the Winnie the Pooh show. I go to sleep rocking with Mama in the big chair. I ask Mama to sing the ABC song or the Arabic alphabet as I go to sleep. I only have one nap now. I sleep in the backpack right after lunch and I usually sleep about 2 hours.

Dancing is lots of fun. I like to turn the music on the CD player and dance. I even have fun dancing on Mama and Daddy's bed. When I dance I swing my legs way up in the air and move my arms back and forth.

I am talking more now too. I am using 2 word sentences all the time and I have even started using 3 word sentences. I say things like "more more milk," "cracker bowl," "Daddy and Elijah," "more Pull cup," and "bye baby."

17 months old

It is hard to believe my half birthday is almost here. I still have to figure out what kind of half birthday cake I want. I really enjoy cleaning. Mama gives me a little wet rag and I have so much fun walking around cleaning everything. I also like cleaning the floor with my vacuum. Curry is one of my favorite foods. Everytime Mama has some curry I have to have some too. My brothers are in school everyday now so I spend a lot of time playing downstairs in their schoolroom. I try and push buttons on the computer whenever I can. Mama even let me play a Pooh coloring game on her computer one day. I felt like such a big girl. Mama weighed me today and I'm 22 lbs now.

16 months old

I am 16 months old now. I love dogs so much! Well, I do call all animals dogs, but my heart beats a little faster every time I see a doggy (gah-gah). Mama and Daddy take me into the backyard several times a day to check to see if the neighbor's dog is in the backyard. I love when Daddy lifts me up high so I can see the dogs over the fence. It is so exciting! I love to spend time with Daddy and give him hugs and kisses. I am getting more and more freedom too. I can explore almost all of the basement now. Mama even lets me walk around in the laundry room to explore sometimes. Daddy loves to let me run around on the main floor. I like running back and forth in the hallway. I'm not allowed to climb the stairs on my own yet. Someday.

I am talking more and more now. I am saying two word phrases more frequently. I like to sing and dance too, but I don't usually do them together. Daddy puts on music for me to dance to and I move my feet up and down really fast and bob my head up and down to the music. Sometimes late at night when Mama is trying to get me to go to sleep I will stand on her lap and dance. I can sing a new song called Baba Papa. I recently figured out how to say both words so Mama made up a song for me to sing. If I see anyone with a cookie I shout out "ku" because I want one too.

I can run now and climb up high. I love it when Mama chases me. It makes me laugh because it is so fun. I am still growing my hair. It is very fine hair so it doesn't look like I have much yet.

I like to look at books, play in the Thomas tent, sleep in the backpack, ride in the car, go to the store, ride in my stroller, eat cookies and cake, building a tower of blocks and knocking it down, playing with a bowl of flour, playing dress-up, dance, and wearing shoes.

Almost 15 months old

I am doing so much now. I don't like to sit still. I love to climb on my toy car and today Mama caught me turning around and around and dancing while I was standing on the seat of my car. I love to draw. I climb on Daddy's briefcase and draw on paper on the easel with crayons. I like to draw with my brother's pencils when I can get a hold of them. I love going outside and smelling flowers and walking around in the grass, but I have to have my shoes on! I have pretty toesies! Mama painted my toenails and I just love to look at them. I'm still waiting for my hair to grow. It is growing much slower than I am, but Mama things she can just about make a pigtail. I am talking all the time now. I talk in mostly one word sentences, but I am starting to use 2 words together like "pants on". I love pants. I call all clothes pants and like to pretend to wear things. Some of my favorite things to say are: pants, smell, cracker, car, bubbles, milk-milk, ball, daddy, and baby. I love my babies. I like to hold them and kiss them. I can blow kisses now. When Mama tells me to say goodnight I blow kisses to my brothers and to daddy. I am so in love with Daddy. I want to play with him all the time! I love to dance and play in Mama and Daddy's bedroom. Daddy puts on dancing music and I run and dance and have so much fun!

I'm Walking!!

I'm walking a lot now!  I can walk all the way across the room and not fall down.  I hardly ever crawl anymore.  I took my first steps on April 28, 2009 but I didn't really start walking much until after Mother's Day.  I'm 13 months old now.  I talk all the time and Mama says I am in constant motion.  I like to explore.  I discovered some of brother's crayons on the floor and already knew how to use them.  I found something to color and started to use the crayons.  I'm still learning how to hold the crayon so it is still hard for me to draw, but I am trying to draw on everything around me.  I love cleaning up with bubbles after I eat.  Mama puts lots of bubbles on my tray and gives me a cloth to clean up.  I have lots of fun cleaning off my tray.  I have my own bed next to Mama and Daddy's bed now.  I sleep in there until I wake up and want milk at night.  Then I move up to Mama and Daddy's bed.  I am learning the different body parts.  I can name hair, eyes, and mouth.  I like to point at Mama's eyes with my fingers and tell her "eye."  I love shoes.  I want to wear my shoes all the time, but Mama makes me take them off for bedtime.   I love flowers!!  Mama showed me how to smell them and I want to smell them all the time.  Whenever I see flowers I ask to smell them.  Life is fun.

I'm almost 1!

I turn 1 on Monday!  Mama keeps telling me that I am having a birthday, but I don't understand what that means yet.  She keeps showing me pictures of cakes though.  I let her know that I wanted an Elmo cake.   When she showed it to me I reached for it and said "this."  I am growing so much.   Today I finally got Mama to understand that I was saying my own name.  I put my hands to my chest and said "baaaa bah."  I was so excited when she figured out what I was saying.  Then I figured out how to say cracker too.  I am getting close to walking all by myself.  A week ago I decided that I was ready to walk holding on to Mama's hands.  Now I like to do it everyday.  I can stand without holding on to anything for awhile too.  Don't tell Daddy, but I have Daddy wrapped around my finger.  He is so fun to play with.  I want to play with him all the time.  I like to call Daddy and pat his back gently.  It is hard for Daddy to resist playing with me after that.

I am eating so many different things now.  My favorites are parmesan cheese, pasta, berries, raisins, pizza, and goldfish crackers.  I like to snack on goldfish crackers while brothers are in school.   I am drinking regular milk now too.  I surprised Mama when I liked it.  She told me that my brothers never liked milk when they were my age.  

I wonder what toys I will get for my birthday.  I really like to play with brother's monster trucks.  I just started playing with my baby a little.  Balls are always good too.

I want hair!  I like hair, but my hair is growing slow.  I have a nice mohawk.  Mama talks about dying it blue, but I think she was joking.  

What I can do now!!

I am standing up and moving around a lot now! I have even stood for a few seconds without holding on to anything. I can say more and more words now. I can say Elmo, milk, daddy, play, drink, this, ball, bath, down, mama, and brother. I'm starting to copy words now too. I can copy "ahhh" too. When Daddy said ahhh after a drink I tried it too. My favorite word is "this." I say it all the time. I say it when I want to talk about something and I don't know what to say. I even said my first two word phrase today "play-play this" when I saw something in Mama's hair that I really liked. Mama had to take it away because it wasn't safe for me, but I kept looking for it.

At night before I go to bed I have to do my very first chore. It is exciting to do grown-up things. Every night Mama takes me around the house and I turn off all the lights. I like my job. Sometimes it takes me a minute to make my fingers do the right thing, but I'm learning.

During the day I like to sleep in the Ergo carrier. At night I love to sleep on my pillow. Right now I like to play the "down game" when I'm eating. My brothers laugh when I throw food on the floor. Sometimes I just want to see what happens to it when it hits the floor. Sometimes I do it because my brothers laugh. And sometimes I do it when I don't want to eat the food anymore and I'm trying to clear off my tray.

I climbed in my toybox yesterday and was very excited. I never did that before. Today I did it again and even sat down in my toybox. It is fun to do new things.

My feet

I found my feet today. I put them in my mouth and thought it was funny. I can walk along furniture now and I don't get stuck anymore when I am standing up. I can sit down if I decide to go play on the floor again. I'm still learning to use my legs. Sometimes I fall down when I am holding on to some furniture and I cry. I had fun playing tag with my brothers today. Elijah and Luke were playing with Mama and I was in the backpack. It was fun to watch everyone run and laugh.

I can cruise around furniture

I like to stand up in my play yard and walk around. I will sometimes get stuck and I call for Mama to get me back down. My favorite toy right now is socks. I love to pull on my socks and chew on them and shake them. I like my other toys too and I sure know how to may a mess with my toys. I can say more words now. I can say mama, daddy, brother, play, bath, this, ball, and Mama thinks I can say drink and pretty. I am going to bed much earlier now. I go to bed when my brothers go to bed. I like to sleep in late in the morning, but my brothers get me up. I like to fall asleep while Mama is folding clothes and while she is reading a story to my brothers. I like to eat crackers and fruit. My favorite is cheese, but Mama said she can't give me much yet because my tummy isn't ready for it.

I'm talking more now. Mama says I'm starting to use some jargon. I can say mama, ball, brother, and play. Mama thinks I may be saying milk and daddy too. Balls are still my favorite toy. I am standing up and holding on to furniture and moving around. I love to ride around in the Moby and watch what Mama is doing. I'll be 9 months old soon!

I can stand up!

I pulled to stand today for the first time. I wanted to play with my toy and I had to stand up to play better. I have just started to crawl too. Mama has to keep me away from brother's toys since they like little things like Legos.

I'm getting so big.

I am saying my first word! Mama said it was Lukie's first word too - BALL

I can crawl, well sort off. I can comando crawl, but I'll be up on my knees crawling soon.
